Yeast Infections And Antibiotics – Why Is There Such A Link?
Having to take antibiotics is a necessary fact of life, at times. And they’re great, don’t get me wrong. They eradicate a lot of sicknesses that might be harmful or even fatal. However, for women, many times they have an unintended side effect. A yeast infection. For some women, antibiotics and yeast infections are forever linked.
The cause of a yeast infection is too much candida – a nasty little fungus that also causes vaginitis and thrush. Yeast infections aren’t fatal by any stretch of the imagination, but they are embarrassing and uncomfortable. We certianly would like to avoid them, if possible, and – if we can’t – then get rid of them as quickly as we possibly can.
There are lots of “cures” and bits of advice on the web about how you can cure or avoid yeast infections. Some say to eat plain yogurt. Some say that’s an old wives’ tale. Some say to douche with hydrogen peroxide. Some say that doing that can actually CAUSE a yeast infection. Some say conventional medicines you buy in the drugstore are good enough. Some say they actually exacerbate the problem. Some say to drink this, or apply this, or do this or that…it’s very convoluted!
As you can tell, some of the pieces of advice out there on the web are solid. Some of them are dodgy. The worst of the advice is truly dangerous.
But how do you tell the difference? When all you need to do is get rid of the itching and burning and get back to having a normal life, how do you have the know how or take the time to tell the difference between the bad information from the good? It’s very difficult.
However, there is hope. If you want to never again have to say the words – “I Am Taking Antibiotics and Now I Have a Yeast Infection“, then click on those words or head on over to http://vovvar.net and search for “Yeast Infection.” Help is on the way!
