Why does Monistat (or any yeast infection treatment) need to be taken at nighttime?

yeast infection treatment
emmy12484 asked:

Is it just to prevent messes? Can I use it during the day? It’s not like my body knows what time of day it is. I’m using the ovules btw, not the cream. I always use ovules.

The medication will not leak out after it has melted as quickly compared to being up and moving around.

The cream stays in place and there is some leakage.

Its so it doesn’t leak out and make a mess. The little ovules melt and make a serious mess so if you lay down it can’t come out. But I think they have a new Monistat you can take in the daytime. Just make sure it says daytime on the box.
